Gun Dog Training Preserve

A membership based hunting/training preserve providing a private location for owners of hunting dogs that want a location and equipment necessary to train and prepare their dogs to hunt

Training Services

The preserve is set up to be autonomous. It’s a place for you to train your dogs and conduct simulated hunts.

The area is set up specifically for upland bird training. Land-based retriever work can be conducted, but we do not have the pond facilities to conduct water retrieve work.

The training field is sculpted to emulate the habitat of all three species of Arizona quail. Flat open areas of natural grasses similar to scaled quail habitat. The brushier wash area is similar to gambel quail and wooded side hill draws for mearns quail habitat.

If requested and scheduled we will gladly assist you with a paid consult or private training session with one of our pro trainers.

No licensing is required for our preserve, as we maintain a training permit and shooting preserve license through the Arizona Game and Fish Department.

State laws prohibit discharging a firearm within 1/4 mile of any occupied building without written permission. This permission is included in the membership agreement and waiver.

For safety, the grounds are fenced from the roadway, providing a secure area to keep dogs when they’re not being worked. Since firearms are involved, it is essential for members to follow all necessary safety measures, as outlined in the waiver and rules.
