Kelly Kirby (Me)

Well, that’s me to the left. Owner and primary guide for LRO. I grew up hunting and fishing in northwest Georgia.

  • Arizona Upland Obsession – Moved here in 1998 and never looked back, chasing birds and big game across rugged terrain.

  • Seasoned Pro – 30+ years in emergency medicine, search & rescue, law enforcement; retired as a Border Patrol Special Ops Deputy Commander and Austere Paramedic.

  • Full‑Time Guide & Trainer – Now I lead custom hunts, fly‑fishing outings, and gun‑dog training programs—from board & train to wild‑bird exposure.

  • Family & Passion – Based in Patagonia, I share every hunt with my pups and love teaching clients the rush of a perfect point.

Emmanuel Sandoval

Emmanuel got into hunting and fishing at a young age thanks to his father. Most of his early hunts were in Southern and Central California.

  • Upland Expertise – Scouted desert lowlands since 2007 to consistently locate Mearns, Gambel’s, and scaled quail coveys.

  • Canine Training – Trains GSPs and Brittanys through LunaRita’s preserve programs for precise field performance.

  • Safety & Professionalism – Sixteen years in federal law enforcement across Cochise and Santa Cruz counties bring discipline and rigorous safety to every hunt.

  • Client-Centered Guidance – Tailors hunt pace, terrain, and dog pairing so every shooter—from first timer to veteran—leaves with an unforgettable experience.

  • Conservation Focus – Works with landowners and wildlife agencies to protect quail habitat and ensure healthy populations.

Patrick Moore

Pat is proudly entering his fifth year with LunaRita Outfitters, bringing seasoned leadership and a passion for upland hunting to every trip.

  • Nebraska Beginnings – Started guiding alongside his father in the High Plains of Western Nebraska.

  • Upland Mastery – Extensive experience with Sharptails, Pheasants, Prairie Chickens, and all three Arizona quail species.

  • Brittany Pack Leader – Pat and his trained Brittanys deliver precision and excitement on every hunt.

  • Fire Service Veteran – Serves his 30th season as a Hotshot Wildland Firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service.

Billy West

Billy West grew up in Livingston, Montana, hunting big game, upland birds, waterfowl, and fishing alongside his avid outdoorsman father. After high school, he served 20 years as an Army infantryman before retiring to pursue his passion for guiding and dog training.

  • Runs a spring and summer fly‑fishing outfitting business in Montana

  • Guides upland bird hunts each fall, specializing in quail and pheasant

  • Lives in Manhattan, Montana, with his wife and two sons

  • Focuses on personalized, safety‑driven outdoor experiences

  • Enjoys skiing, family outings, fishing, and hunting in downtime
